about the band:
FRANK SHROUT; LEAD VOCALS - Frank has been performing professionally since 1981. A veteran of many bands, he has performed in clubs, at corporate events and weddings. He released his first studio album in 1988. Frank’s voice is rare. His incredible range allows him to perform songs most artists only dream about. Frank’s impressive career includes sharing the stage with bands and artists such as Three Dog Night, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, The Manhattans, Gary Puckett, Johnny Maestro and Fats Domino. In 1991 Frank formed East Coast Connection. They toured nationally for several years, performing in casinos and theaters as well as a six-week tour of Japan. In 2009, ECC was signed by Princess Cruise Lines and performed in Italy, Greece, England, France, Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii.
DON MANCUSO; LEAD GUITAR - Don Mancuso’s resume couldn’t be more impressive. From Black Sheep with Lou Gramm, The Lou Gramm Band, DDRive, Cheater, Johnny Smoke, The Park Avenue Band, Linda Rutherford & Celtic Fire, Regi Hendrix, Billy Sheehan and New York City studio work, Don has gained a national reputation as a top tier guitarist.
MARY ELLEN HAYDEN; VOCALS - Mary Ellen is well-known as an accomplished vocalist, having worked with Greg Lake, Russell Thompson, JR., Jay Proctor, Chris Beard and many others. She has done voice acting, voiceover and commercials for The Boston Globe, Paychex, and Exxon, just to name a few. Mary Ellen also performed in “Love Janis” an Off Broadway production. She holds a BS in Mass Communications from Boston University School of Communications, a Master’s Degree in English Language Arts from the U of R, and several NYS Teacher Certifications. This lady can sing!
KARL LAPORTA; KEYBOARD & VOCALS - Karl is well-known as the Greater Rochester Music Community as the Founder and Former President of the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. Under his leadership, the Hall of Fame blossomed into one of Rochester’s most impactful institutions. As a child, Karl studied music under his father, who was a successful piano and violin teacher. Having performed professionally since age sixteen, he has performed in numerous bands and as a solo performer for over fifty years. Karl’s love for music extended to his profession, as a well-respected Piano Technician, for over thirty-five years. He recently released his first album “The Gift” which has received glowing reviews. Karl loves spending time with his family and traveling. He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
PETER RICCARDI; KEYBOARDS - Peter started playing guitar at age twelve and jammed with his friend, Frank Shrout. He moved on to drums and performed for many years with an Italian band, celebrating the music of his homeland. But Peter wasn’t satisfied with guitar and drums. He took lessons on keyboard from Rochester legend, Fred Costello, then continued at Hochstein and Eastman School of Music. Somehow, after many years, things came full circle and Peter and Frank reconnected and launched Band On The Run “Live”.
DAVE TIBERIO; BASS - Dave has been a professional bass player in the Rochester area for 40 years. Bands he has worked in include Jeff Cosco and Times Square, Rumours, Special Blend, Crossroads, B42K. He’s a founding member of classic/arena rock band Northside Johnny, now in their 21st year. Dave is known as a highly versatile musician and background vocalist who really enjoys performing (and it shows!).
FABIAN PROVENZA; DRUMS - “I just want to play!” Fabian started playing at three years old on pots and pans with his mom's sauce spoon. Fabian grew up in a musical household. His dad sang and played the accordion. Dad brought home a different genre of music weekly which Fabian played along to. As a young man, he performed in numerous local and regional rock bands. He was a member of East Coast Connection from 1999 to 2009, alongside Frank Shrout. Fabian has toured extensively from LA to NY and performed in dozens of recording sessions. Today, Fabian enjoys and plays all styles of music from rock to pop. Fabian notes; “I love to play drums and to entertain, touching people's lives. That’s what led me to be with Band On The Run "Live”.
